Our integration reinforces our shared commitment to sustainability and the role it plays in delivering risk adjusted returns across the full spectrum of asset classes. High-level, our approaches are already well aligned, but the difference is in the detail. Where there are discrepancies, we are reviewing the methodologies, policies and definitions, to move to a unique, harmonised approach.
What you can expect and when
The legacy entities were already closely aligned in most ESG policies, methodologies, data, reflecting years of investment in sustainability resources and expertise.
Since the merger, we have closely reviewed the approaches developed historically by the entities across asset classes to help define our target approaches for BNPP AM going forward.
New stewardship policy
The new stewardship policy for the combined BNPP AM entity has been in effect since 1 January 2026.
Frameworks and methodology alignment
All other sustainability commitments, policies, frameworks and methodologies are expected to be implemented in portfolios from early 2027.

AXA IM and BNPP AM are progressively merging and streamlining our legal entities to create a unified structure
AXA Investment Managers joined BNP Paribas Group in July 2025. Following the merger of AXA Investment Managers Paris and BNP PARIBAS ASSET MANAGEMENT Europe and their respective holding companies on December 31, 2025, the combined company now operates under the BNP PARIBAS ASSET MANAGEMENT Europe name.
